Britain’s Nosy Neighbours

Mon 20 Oct 2014 admin

Privacy is an ever present topic of debate. Social and portable media have made it possible to broadcast every moment of your life as it happens. We’re making it easier than ever for people to spy on us, but we can always adjust our privacy settings and only let our friends see what we’re doing. There are no privacy settings, though, when it comes to our neighbours.

You can’t escape it. They see you around every day. They look through your windows when passing by. They listen out when you’re socialising in the garden and they just plain can’t keep to themselves. Some people can’t help being a nosy neighbour.   And we want to help you fight those who can’t keep to themselves. With summer well and truly out and National Home Security Week upon us, we want to protect you privacy by giving away a free set of blinds to the person with the nosiest neighbour!

Just tell us how bad they are by emailing into [email protected] and we could help you keep the nosy neighbours at bay with a brand new set of blinds for your house. Giveaway closes 31st October 2014.

To get a bigger look at the problem, we looked at just how nosy we are as a country. How many of us do it? For how long? What makes us do it? The results are surprising, and you may just rethink what you consider to be a potential busybody on your street. Check out the full results below:
